Intentions ...

Intentions are like commands to the Universe. What we focus on and think about is what we create into being.

Over time, some of us have learned that what we think we are or are not, so we become. What we think about wanting, needing, having, so we manifest. All past energies that we created and commanded to God/Spirit through the power of our own thought patterns and spoken commands either manifest and are created within our realms, be they negative or positive. Basically, it's simply the law of karma: What we put forth (intent!), so we become. Or, as printed in the Christian Bible in a letter from Paul to some early Christian groups: What we sow, so shall we reap (Galatians 6:7-9).

With every thought, word, and action, be those thoughts or words negative or positive, we are creating our futures. This concept seems to be a difficult one to grasp for so many of us.  It has taken some of us many years and focus to figure out that what we allow ourselves to THINK, DREAM, and SPEAK manifests in the physical world time and again. This is what is called in physics 'The Law of Attraction'. What we sometimes fail to realize is that until we come to understand the power of our thoughts (they are energy, and energy does not die-that's simple physics!) we will continue to feel powerless in creating our own lives.

These are simply some thoughts or ideas on how it is we create our realities, our situations, our lives. When we learn to accept responsibility for our own lives, and begin to realize that there is no one or nothing outside of ourselves that we require to make our lives what we dreamt it could be, we feel empowered. When we let go of our ego Self (Easing God Out) and allow the Light in, we can feel freer to express our true Self, our true Spirit.

Embracing the Universal Awakening

Sometimes, it takes only a tiny rumbling in the Earth to affect changes on a grander scale. Perhaps there is a tiny shift in the plates in the middle of the Red Sea, and suddenly there is a Tsunami threatening to overtake a small island town. It's like rolling a snowball from the top of a high mountain. In a short time, that tiny snowball can become a force to be reckoned with.

We humans are like this when it comes to exchanging energy and vision, and no matter how few people are involved at the beginning, there is the potential for massive change. As consciousness seekers, we are in the midst of this process, and it is amazing to see people we thought might never come around, waking up to their truth. We are in the midst of the Golden Age of Awakening. The Universe is requiring that we all change, but the choice to change is left up ultimately up to each individual.

We can count ourselves blessed to be living at a time when the awareness of humanity seems to be at a tipping point, as more and more individuals open their minds and change their ways. There are Energy Shifts present in the Universal on a grand scale, and they are happening more and more consistently. These shifts are assisting our Light Bodies in changing, in moving from the darkness into the light. With these changes, comes a shift in consciousness, as well. We are moving more toward Christ Consciousness. This is not about religion at all! This is simple about moving away from darkness, fears, egocentricity, control, conditional love, jealousy, and other negatives, to brighter unconditional love, light, joyousness, freedom, and positivity!

For some people, this revolves around an awareness of the environment, for others it is a spiritual awakening, and for many it is both. A great change in consciousness is sweeping through us all, as we recognize that things are not what they have seemed to be, that there is more to our lives than meets the eye. Many of us have the awareness and the energy at this time to break through old, outmoded ways of seeing things and to move into a new way of being in the world, and it is essential that we do so. The beauty of living at this time is that even small actions have a powerful ripple effect, and the reverberations of what we do have the power to reach and open many minds.

It is as if a scale is about to tip in favor of higher consciousness, and each one of us has the power to bring humanity closer to that point with the smallest of actions. Each time we move in the direction of our dreams and visions, we can visualize another small pebble dropping into the pond, or another gold weight on the scale, rippling and tipping our way to universal awakening. A Universal Awakening! Perhaps we CAN change the world for the better ... The Time is NOW!

Choosing Light ...

"People are like stained-glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the
sun is out, but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed
only if there is a light from within." ~ Elizabeth Kubler Ross

When Light is contained within the essence of our Beings, it reflects and shines outward and makes our face somehow appear lighter, brighter. Our eyes seem to sparkle and dance, and our Being is light and airy. We smile easier, we love easier. Our words are filled with caring, kindness, love. We don't hesitate to help those around us without expecting anything in return. We simply strive to be the best we can be.
Alternatively, when darkness surrounds us, and penetrates our Life, we feel heavy, morose, sad. We use sarcasm as though it is our last breath, or second language, because with it we can infiltrate our enemies boundaries insidiously, completely. Sarcasm is our only coping mechanism, our only defense in a world gone mad.
Sarcasm, when used without humor, is the epitome of anger and hatefulness disguised in benignness. Words of sarcasm fall heavily on your enenmies ears and hearts. Sarcastic words can be the undoing of a sensitive Soul.
How do we prevent ourselves from being caught up in darkness? We choose to stand in the Light ... we choose to say only things that will make others feel important, good. We choose to be loving, kind.
Some of us are hesitant to be nice, kind, loving. We have been burned too many times, taken advantage of numerous times when we were 'nice' and that is not going to happen again! Some of us have been hurt so many times that we retaliate even before someone strikes out at us.
It's okay to feel scared. It's okay to feel vulnerable. We are human beings before we are anything else. It's only natural to be cautious in this world filled with chaos and the unknown. It's okay to be scared, but we need to push past the fear and step into the Light. We need to choose Light and Life. Let's all do it together ...!
Today, I choose to live in the Light and Love of humanity. I choose to allow myself to be transformed from the inside out with Divine Love and Energy. I choose to be kind, loving, and caring. I choose Life!

Relinquishing Our Defenses ...

We all have defense mechanisms that we've developed over the long journey of our Lifetime, often without being aware of them at all. In times of trouble, the behaviors that have worked to get us past challenges with the least amount of pain are the ones that we repeat; even when part of us knows they no longer work.

Even when part of us knows that we are behaving wrongly or wronging someone else. Such behavior is a natural response from our mental and physical aspects. But because we are spiritual beings as well, we have the ability to rise above habits and patterns to see the truth that lay beyond. And from that moment on, we can make choices that allow us to work directly from that place of truth within us.

Most of our defense mechanisms were developed in childhood; from the moment we realized crying would get us the attention~negative or positive~ that we craved. Passive aggressive ways of communicating may have allowed us to get what we needed without being scolded, punished or laughed at, so we learned to avoid being direct and honest.

Some of us were not allowed to express our inner most feelings; and those feelings were pushed deep down. We 'stuffed' those feelings: with food, alcohol, drugs, or another substance. The energy of those stuffed feelings remains in our bodies, until through therapy or expression we release it, either in a healthy or an unhealthy way.

Some of us may have taken refuge in the lives of others, discovering ways to direct attention away from ourselves entirely. Throwing ourselves into projects or rescuing others from themselves can be effective ways to avoid dealing with our own issues. And when people are truly helped by our actions, we get the added bonus of feeling heroic. But while defenses can keep away the things we fear, they can also work to keep our goodness from us.

When we can be honest with ourselves about what we truly desire, then we can connect our desires to the creative power of the Spirit within us. Knowing that we are one with the Energy of the Universe allows us to release any need for defense. Trusting that Power, we know that we are exactly where we are meant to be, and that challenges bring gifts of growth and experience. When we can put down arms or fists raised in defense, then we are free to use our hands, minds, hearts and spirits to mold and shape our abundant energy to create and live our lives.

Sex & Spirituality: Thoughts

I'm not going to pontificate about sex, love, or marriage! It's not my place, nor is it my interest. Many of us have been in love, and some of us have been in lust ... do we really know the difference? There is a difference. I know the difference. I'm not going to explain it here, though.

Sex is beautiful and there is absolutely nothing wrong with it between two consenting adults. Many philosophies claim that sex is only tolerated and only belongs within the confines of marriage, and yet who invented marriage? It wasn't God, or Allah, or any other Supreme Being ... some philosophies even want to dictate HOW to have sex with your sexual partner. The Mormons, for example, believe that sex is allowed for one reason only: to procreate. Not for fun, not for pleasure ... read more about Mormon beliefs about sex here: http://www.i4m.com/think/sexuality/mormon_sex_war.htm

It was man who decided to create the term 'marriage' as it stands today. In order to be married, we have to apply for and pay for a marriage license ... Why is the law involved in the marriage of one human being to another ... (we can reserve other questions about lawful marriage for another post!)

If one person states his or her love for another and they decide to embark on a committed and consensual journey together, does that not make them 'married' in the eyes of a Supreme Being? In their own eyes?

And is it not their right to share their love for one another, including with expressions of a sexual nature, together?

Think about it ...

Our "Sacred" Spaces ...

Most of us have created a sanctuary in our home, where peace resides and where we can just be ourselves. Sometimes, allowing others to occupy our space can be disturbing to us and to our routines. It's usually easy to share our space with those we know or love, but often strangers are asked into our household to help: plumbers, contractors, or technicians who help us make our homes more livable and comfortable. Acquaintances of our partners or children also bring something new and different into our space. If we resist their presence, treating it as an intrusion, we restrict the free flow of energy and may miss the gift they bring.

Instead, we can choose to treat their energy as an exchange of gifts as well as an exercise in acceptance, tolerance, and unconditional love. Before their arrival, we can prepare by envisioning Light surrounding our bodies and radiating outward from the core of our homes. We may want to create a calm and welcoming environment by playing meditation music or lighting incense or candles. We can remove tension for all involved by putting away our valuables and private keepsakes. Then when they arrive, we claim our boundaries by guiding them through their visit—asking them to remove their shoes, offering coasters or a place to set down tool boxes, and indicating by example to speak softly or not use harsh language.

If something still causes stress, we can remember that what begins as an irritation to an oyster becomes a pearl. After they depart, we can burn sage and clear our space if we like, but not without first finding the pearl. Finally, remember that we learn about Life by relating with others. People may have been sent to our homes because we ignored some of the Universe’s messengers outside. Our homes need not be a way to keep people out, but can be the place where we are ourselves while accepting and allowing other’s choices, as long as their choices don't infringe on our boundaries.

When we share the joy of our homes, we radiate our Light rather than hiding it behind closed doors. The more we do this, the more the outside world can become like the sanctuary we’ve created inside ... a place of peace, beauty, and serenity.
